In May-June 2018, within the framework of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Justus Liebig University of Giessen collaboration in the project "Capacity building of partnership on the basis of various projects" (BMBF - Federal Ministry of Education and Science; Framework Program: Federal Government Strategies for science and research internationalization - Partnership for sustainable development of the transition countries), we acquainted in a Westerwald-Lahn-Taunus Geoparks national importance, functioning principles and purposes. During the visit of Geopark, we saw the geological sites, natural monuments, historical and architectural monuments recognized as well as a World Heritage Site.
