Numerical solution of a nonlinear dynamic beam equation

We consider an initial boundary value problem for a Timoshenko type beam. To solve this problem we use the algorithm which contains the Galerkin method, a difference scheme and the Newton iterative process. The results of the numerical experiment are discussed.
